womaded. 25 aug 06

went to womad a couple of nights back... it was great! was hot, sweaty, face was oily, too many orang asing around but... it was great. fantastic night for ogling at hot guys too. haha. mooch and i went earlier than the rest of the people we were supposed to meet so we caught more acts.

chico was gd, t bone was very good, but radio mundial did it for me. awesome lah. check them out here. got some pics from the night but as usual, with camera phone, so they're dark, blurry and not very good. haha. the top stage had better acts than the main stage (with the exception of radio mundial who played the main stage. did i mention they were cute?) and we got lots of exercise in from going up and down stairs at fort canning.
radio mundial on stage and mooch & faisal posing on ground. can u spot them? yup, the shadowy forms. wahaha.

another shot of the main stage from afar. some woman named baca was singing. i think. can't remember which act it was.

mooches got me cool earrings! thanks mooch! we also tried a marshmellow brownie with ice cream from the brownie factory who had a stall there. fantastic lah. sticky, gooey, comfortingly cool sweetness on a hot night. go try at taka basement.

what else happened ah... oh ya we got pics taken by this photog dude so we're gonna be on nightlife.sg sometime soon i guess. no no not gonna be famous. checked it out and u have to sign up to retrieve yr pics. i don't mind lah but at the moment i'm too malas.

faisal, manoj and the rest stayed on at the subaru groove tunnel but mooch and i called it a night at 1++ am. radio mundial was still on stage packing up when we walked by to get to the exit. place was already kinda deserted and there was no sign of the swaying crowd that was there only minutes ago. this would've been a great op to get up close and take pics with the hotties but noooooo. naz had her usual case of starstruckness and didn't wanna go say hi. sheesh. so annoying. this is my biggest regret of the night. oh, and not dancing. i ain't got the groove baby. best not to try and end up embarrassing myself in the process. haha.

would've stayed longer, mebbe all night but alas work beckoned. had to help my aunt out at her stall on sat. flipping burgers over a hot grill on 2 hrs of sleep. fun and games man. i miss working there... it's damn shiok lah. tiring, but at least u're doing something useful, measurable and u get to meet people. hmph.

ok then off to paint the nursery... will put up pics once it's done and not while it's still a work in progress. hopefully can finish the main wall today. bubbai.

kayaked. 20 aug 06

ok late update, i know. haha. went kayaking last sun and it was AWESOME!! i wanna go again! this time round i want to use the sit on top kayak... which is available at bedok res. how convenient. wahaha. any takers?? please be a swimmer, cos i'm not.

i feel i should publicly apologise to faisal for abandoning him in favour of mooches. i have several good reasons!
1. brought mooch along in cas i was incapable of kayaking due to that time of the month.
2. turns out that the partner of one of the participants didn't come so she needed a partner.
3. faisal partnered her instead.
4. which is a good thing cos if i had sprung a leak (u know wat kind) in the same kayak as him, that would've been mighty embarrassing for both parties.

see... my actions were justified. haha. all of us had a good time anyway, so it's ok.

weather during the day was perfect for kayaking according to daniel. cloudy, slight drizzle, with a bit of sunshine. didn't get much of a tan but it's ok, nothing a phuket trip can't take care of. haha.

us rafting up for a photo op before heading out. our instructors for the day were daniel and kang wei. i think kang wei rather liked mooch and i cos he kept splashing us and tried to capsize us. wahaha. joke's on him tho, cos he ended up capsizing on one of his attempts.
rafting up again in front of god knows where in the kallang basin. i say mooch and i make a great team, cos we were leading the pack the entire time. wahaha. had lots of fun singing tunes in terrible voices. there were also plenty of dragon boaters around. we were shouting aussie3 oi3 to the aust teams but they ignored us! how rude... either that or tak dengar ah. haha.

coming from someone with a slight case of hydrophobia, all in all it was a great experience. damn shiok lah.

the birthday post (mortem)

sooo... it's my birthday today. funny how i'm always tempted to sing that 50 cent song each time anyone mentions a birthday. *it's your birthday, we're gonna party like it's your birthday*... speaking of songs which i can't get out of my head, my latest obsession is justin's sexy back. since i don't have the mp3 i just play the vid on youtube over and over again. haha. nah don't really watch the vid, just listen to the song. the bridge has me hooked. * dirty babe you see these shackles baby i'm your slave, i'll let u whip me if i misbehave, it's just that no one makes me feel this way* how can u not fall in love with something like that? haha.

anyways, i think i promised a list of sorts. i would refer back to my birthday post from last year in my friendster blog but alas it's being a bitch. you know u're getting old when u can count your age in... i dunno, groups? for this year it's 2 dozen. next year it's quarter of a century. when u're 30 it's 3 decades. hmm...

ok looking back on what i wanted last year (yay can access old blog now), these are the things which still elude me:

1) a blender. yeah i still want one.
x) handphone bling (don't really care about this anymore. love my phone!)
x) adidas shoes (ok probably out of stock or discontinued or something by now so i shall move on)
2) an iPod *sigh* are we not meant to be?
3) nine west shoes. hmm, think shall forget abt this too, cos they never have my size. shall stick with novo.
mmmmmmm novo...
4) 3 letter word. haha. que sera sera.

let's add on to the list shall we?

5) fitness ball (bro getting for me. apparently)
6) ruby ring (mum is on the hunt for this as i type. she actually offered necklace or bracelet but since when do i
wear such things? so i asked for the item below, but changed my mind and asked for the ring. mum asked wat my ring size was, i'm like, er, large? wahaha.)
7) bicycle. to explore the great outdoors. and possibly start cycling to work. ha. ha. ok ok shall not be so
ambitious, cycle to the mrt station then.
8) crocs ballet slippers. yes, crocs has gone slightly pretty. so i shall endorse them and not slam them like i
usually do. have yet to see these, er, in person, so until then, i want these only half as much as the rest of the stuff here. why do i want these? cos i don't wanna ruin my heels rushing to work in the morn. er heels of the shoe variety, not foot.
9) pda. both kinds? ha. ha. ha. was thinking hp ipaq...

10) contact lenses. like seriously. this should actually be on the necessary items list but i just can't be bothered to go get em. mebbe i will soon lah, current contacts are way way way past their use by date. poor eyes.

was actually gonna write down non- materialistic stuff like courage, patience, discipline, etc etc... but screw that! wahaha. mebbe next post.

so to everyone who wished me today (without being prompted, i'm impressed) so far, THANK YOU!!

touching touching. decided not to blatantly advertise on msn this year, so i just used a vague personal msg. haha. such is the behaviour of a twenty something who's showing signs of turning into an eccentric, rich, reclusive, 70 yr old virgin with 35 cats. yes yes i'm being negative and self- pitying. bite me. *it's my party and i'll cry if i want to* haha. hey at least i said i'll be rich and eccentric. those are good things right? right.

to put it succinctly

" no matter how cute you are considered back home, be prepared to feel like a troll here."

- tips on turkey, some magazine i came across

this is why turkey is on my eye candy tour list of places to visit. others are spain, portugal, italy and egypt. haha. tall, dark and handsome... mmmmmmm. it's an ogle orgy, people.

hmm 4 days to my birthday and i don't feel excited at all. maybe cos i'll be one year closer to quarter of a century this time round. noooooo. haven't even come up with a past, present (both kinds) and future list. i guess i will work on that soon enough.

in the meantime, i will be painting my future niece's nursery. let's hope that it won't turn out to be a boy cos i don't think he will be pleased with the flowers and butterflies in his lilac room. hopefully i won't be too lazy to take pics of my handiwork. hopefully.

will also be painting my own room in the near future, got the paint already and then it struck me that hey, wait a min, kinda looks like the shade in my room now! so i pried the lid off in a panic, took a sample and smeared it on my wall. thank god, wasn't colour blinded after all cos they're different. haha. would have gone with a deep rich burgundy colour but i thought it'd be too dark. so light reddish brown it is. ok ok so i'll be moving out next year but i don't care, realised that i hadn't painted the walls since we moved in. that's close to 8 years. it's about time! better late than never? haha.

ok off to draw up butterflies and such.

long time no see. kinda.

wow feels like it's been a while since i updated. what's been happening... hmm for latest news please refer to rohana's blog. wahaha. was just looking at my schedule and man, it's quite active for once. was just looking at my room and man, i seriously need to do some major spring cleaning. like, seriously. i got books on the floor, shopping bags, magazines, docs, everything everywhere. my wardrobe is also a huge huge mess. i hate it when i can't find my clothes. doesn't help that most are black and folded so they all look alike. haha. some of them are missing in action, i'm positive. question is, are the pieces lost under all my other stuff or have they been kidnapped and held against their will, alone and helpless in someone else's cupboard? come back my pretties, come baaaaack!

hmm what else... i feel like i finally understand what my purpose at work is. basically it's the same as my other attachment but it's disguised as something much more important and leceh. the message is: bring in the sales!! or we're gonna nail yo ass! sighs. i hate being profit driven. but salaries need to be paid, targets need to be met and the lights need to be switched on. so right, one of the newest tasks i'm handling is... research. market competition analysis. i don't really mind this actually, cos it means i have to read the news and just extract all the relevant info. do some surfing, make a few phone calls, put it all together in a nice, easy to read table cos the head loves tables. i hate excel. also get to mess around with the organisation's website and see how i can make our dept more noticeable.

there are worse things in life that i could do i guess.

i really wanna be good at this. now that i actually know my target, it's just a matter of reaching it. we're halfway there already apparently. no worries then... i love planning things out but i really really hate nitty gritty details. guess who has to take care of the details? also feel that i've been messing up at work a lot. it's nothing big, but it's a lot of little things. every single one of them seem to be stacked up against me by the seniors, u know. maybe it's just me thinking that but they don't really mind. nah. they definitely do mind. the ngiao type, u know. god i hate working with women. my senior exec is pretty ok though, she's nice. for now anyway. i better pick up the slack before everything comes crashing down on me. haha.

speaking of which, my dad got retrenched last week. he seems pretty happy about it, kinda like early retirement. i dunno... i am worried but everyone else doesn't seem to be. why?? i really don't get it. dad did get a pretty huge lump sum from the co. but it ain't gonna last forever man. oh well. we'll see what happens... but as of last week, i'm the so called 'sole breadwinner' in the household. cheers.

the start of something long & painful

wah shit. my thighs hurt, my butt hurts, my abs hurt... i feel like an old woman. can't even sit down without wincing sia!!

why am i aching all over the lower torso? no shaz, there's nothing dirty about this, sorry to disappoint you. haha. i went for a 6km jog at east coast, then another 6km walk back to the car. wahlau ehhhhh. this was totally not in the plan on sun. my neighbour, his colleague and i were supposed to do interval training at bedok stadium. unfortunately there was something going on there so i opened my big mouth and suggested east coast. doh.

we literally went as far as we felt like going. which meant that we stopped when we saw the familiar golden arches of macdonalds... then we had komala's for dinner. sat outside, and there was this bar with live music just beside komala's so we had good music while having dinner and watching the dusk settle on the very crowded east coast beachfront. shiok ah. that's how life should be, sun, sand, sea and sweat. haha. also saw people building sandcastles. niiiiiiiiiice. i wanna build sandcastles tooooo!

i think this is gonna turn into a weekly thing, insyaallah. morning would be less crowded ah, but who would get up that early on a weekend man? whoever wants to come along for a leisurely jog along the beach is welcome!! or skate or cycle or whatever. haha. hmm skate... this is the start of my 'disgustingly fit' program. hopefully.

ok i'm done rambling. 2 days to payday. woohooooo! i think i have a serious shopping addiction. sighs... better shopping than eating i reckon.

it's the thought that counts!

ok i know this is a bit the belated but i say better late than never. so...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROHANA!!!

wahaha. wanted to do this yest but then my pc was being a bitch and i didn't feel like dealing with it.
i can't wait to go watch the rummage!! and we sooo have to get dessert at menotti's. mmmm... menotti's...

warning: disgusting post ahead

omg guys, i just HAD to blog about this. errrr those who don't wanna hear about asses, discharge and the like, please stop reading NOW.

yesterday and today, i was a bit scared for my life. this is due to me excreting some foul smelling orange (yes, ORANGE) oily stuff from my ass. see, i told you it's disgusting wat. best part, it only happened last night. thank god i make it a habit of wearing pantyliners all the time even when wearing thongs. phew. never hurts to be safe man. i was quite alarmed when it happened cos i was like, whoa whoa whoa, i haven't taken any kind of supplements at all for the past few days! so can't be a side effect from anything. only been eating loads of good food. started thinking, omg, this is payback time for not exercising for so long and slacking off and not taking care of my diet. OH MAN. thought i was really in the shits. literally. was already picturing going to the doc, and getting grave life threatening results back.

thought to myself, ok chill, relax, let's see if it continues for a few days. if it does then confirm must go doc lah. so guess what, it was still happening today!! i thought, muther. fucker. started to panic and think of all sorts of things that could be wrong. did my digestive track just give up? did my liver or kidneys throw in the towel? is my rectum on strike?? so i decided to do what everyone does when faced with a potentially embarrassing, iffy health crisis. i googled the symptoms. then i found this.
eureka!! thank god for the power of the internet and fellow paranoid users!!

the culprit my friends.... is butterfish!! all the while i was blaming it on the braised chicken handmade noodles i had for lunch yesterday cos it was the only thing out of the ordinary that i had. apparently i had to go back to the day before, when i had dinner at the manhattan fish market. it's the butterfish!! excellent, divine butterfish in black pepper sauce with garlic rice it was too. although i did have one HELL of a stomachache right after. took the bus home and i didn't reach home a second too soon. not a second too soon, mates. i think my friend thought i was gonna pass out in the bus from the cramping. hahaha. those who are familiar with my cold sweat moments will know what i'm talking about.

phew. mystery solved. so guys, all i have to do now is wait for the rest of the indigestible oil to get passed out and we're good! hmm looks like i'm getting a free intestine cleansing and butt moisturizing. hahaha.

power to the gods of google!!!!

another one off the market

ok i know this is a bit overdue but here it is now:

CONGRATULATIONS HUDA & REZA ON YOUR MARRIAGE!!!

haha don't think they read my blog but it's the thought that counts! happy couples make me happy... spread the good cheer ya!

pics wise... hmm... wait long long? haha. stupid pc can't connect to net lah, so i've been on my ibook the past week or so. kinda annoys me when i have to do stuff like pic editting and cropping cos a) i don't have a mouse b) jordan is kinda sloooooow cos his RAM is not that high and the software installed is the latest so it takes a lot to run it and c) i tend to be lazier as i'm on the bed and not sitting up. haha.

been thinking of reformatting the pc... but i dunno how! it's too complicated! haha. then hv to transfer all the files... leceh. relek sua. may not solve the prob sommore. so my next plan is to wait a couple of months for comex 2006, then go get me my 1st desktop pc. noooooooooooo! oh well. guess u can't go wrong with having both apple and windows at home. i bet can get some super good deals there too... hmm. bersabar lah. 31 aug to 3 sept if im not wrong. the next dilemma, beat the crowd by going on the earlier days or get better deals by going on the later days? are these assumptions of mine even valid? who has comex experience?? please advise!!

ok lah back to work... yawns.

fluffy white clouds

for the record, can i just reiterate once again- i. am. a. sucker. for. sweet. talk.

thank you.

please ignore the redundancy of certain words. no matter how power i think my english is, i am still a fool.

i am going to try to improve on my use of the language in my future posts. i will also try to not talk about mundane things that may bore whoever is reading it. if i get bored reading my own blog, come on, something is wrong there ain't it.

pfffft nah, just kidding guys. no reprieve for u...

disclaimer: oh no i just realised i more or less plagiarised off rohana's blog! sorry! same topics!!

falling asleep as i type this...

sighs. no mood to work ah. so i shall blog! need to respond to negative feedback mah. hahaha.

so... the reason i haven't been blogging is cos i've been busy writing emails to people on the other side of the world who are 7 whole hours behind... works like this: chat when i get back from work, the person writes an email when i'm already in dreamland, i get the email in the morn when i reach work, and then i reply. when i leave work, person just starts work and replies to the email. by the time i reach home i have an email waiting for me and the person is online for a chat. complicated? ok let's keep it that way.

my stupid pc at home is down. dunno why also. bro can't fix it. the lan is connected according to the pc but the net can't be accessed. so dumb right? no idea what's wrong. could be the router but then i don't wanna mess with that, just in case it fucks up the whole thing and i can't surf at all. the net still works on my beloved jordan and the pc in the other room. i'm tempted to get a new pc. either that or a mac. then again my beloved jordan still works like a dream tho he's a bit slow in his old age. i don't need a replacement yet. hmm. succumbing to gates? nooooo. i want a killer lcd display tho. hehe. cd burner is a must, and a fast processor. naz waits for no comp. wahaha. unless it's my beloved jordan. oh jordan, how i am besotted with thee.

anyways. forgot to write about the dnd hahaha. this just shows that it wasn't that great. actually, that's not true. was pretty cool. and i spent a grand total of $3.90 for a headband! woohoo! the rest of the outfit i had already. just mix and match. my colleagues were performing so they had cool costumes on. damn, wish i had dressed up too. nevermind there's always next year! they won 2nd place i think... oh ya i won a steam iron in the lucky draw. wahaha. better than nothing i reckon... got $100 voucher for glasses sommore. god knows how much i need glasses. went to the shop on sun but it just did not look appealing. will try again another day. or go to another branch or something.

on sat night i had dinner with a friend, her man and her friends. had a lovely time. i absolutely adored watching the couple. sighs. made me believe in love all over again. haha. i hope they end up married soon. damn damn damn sweet ok. my favourite part was during dessert. they were sitting across each other then she was talking, and he just gently cupped her face in his hands and smiled into her eyes. waaaaaaah so romantic laaaaaaah. can die ok. i'm more than determined to find me a man now. or whenever. super sweet. was smiling to myself and couldn't sleep. or maybe my insomnia could've been attributed to the awesome dessert at menotti's. awesome. i can't remember what it's called though. was a choc cake oozing with warm choc fudge/ sauce and ice- cream on the side. mmmmm....

actually i think i overindulged in dessert this week. had ben and jerry's fossil fuel (pure decadence) on wed and nydc on sun. hmm. someone has to start exercising again, it seems...

yummy mummies

so today i got completely lost in toa payoh. or wherever the hell i was when looking for a building in toa payoh. took the train, got to the right station, and then i took the wrong bus. stupid street directory. yeah yeah i guess i should've asked at the interchange if it was the right bus but no, i didn't. so instead of being surprisingly on time (cos i thought i left the house late), i was extremely late. about half an hour. ok to some people that may be passable but to someone who prides herself on always being punctual, that is very shoddy work.

think the trainer wasn't too impressed, naturally. i wouldn't have been either. but i think she held it against me all day. whatever lah, move on. sheesh. the training is boring btw... the only thing that made my day was when i spotted a familiar face i hadn't seen in... oh, half a year or so.

ok time for some background. i first met this colleague of mine who i hadn't seen in a while at another training course way back in december. she's the young, hot, slim, funky type, u know. with really great hair. gawd i loved her hair. was super long and thick and spirally funky curls.

anyway. just now when i saw her, she was pregnant! and not just pregnant, heavily pregnant! like, gonna give birth next month, literally. i was like, wtf??? i didn't even know she was married! wahlau eh... naturally i was asking her all sorts of questions during the break. haha. can't help it, i get excited when i see people who are pregnant. especially if they're friends. or people i know. even more so if they're young and recently married. leaves me in awe man.

also found out that another girl i used to work with just got married this month too. nah, didn't get married on 060606. haha. this newlywed happens to live in tampines, so she got her husband to drop me off there. so sweet ah. thanks to her i came home early and i managed to go for a much needed think-deep-thoughts walk at the reservoir. did do some deep thinking, but no conclusion. as usual. sighs. reflect too much ready. hmm eh no, i did manage to draw some conclusions. or rather, i stopped pulling the wool over my eyes. doh. now for solutions. sighs...

back to the yummy mummy. she's my age, her husband is 27, and they're having a girl. she prefers boys. haha. couldn't agree more. so exciting lah. eta 21 july. i dunno whether it creeps them out, but i tend to just stare at pregnant women. even more so if they're the funky dressers. haha. mebbe cos i can't imagine myself in their shoes. at all. what they are doing seems like light years away for me. but mostly cos... i dunno. it means that they're settled i guess, and responsible enough to take care of another human being. starting a fresh new chapter, u know. having another purpose in life that is completely unselfish. isn't it great that they're gonna have a baby? seriously? freaking cool laaaaaaah. am i jealous? hell yeah. but like i said, can't imagine. i am soo not ready for that kinda thing. gonna enjoy watching other people do it for a while. sighs. so exciting.

a sad state of affairs

it's a saturday. i'm home alone (well save for the sis i never speak to) cos my parents and the siblings i do speak to went off to trengganu this morn. not only am i bored, i'm hungry! there's no food in the house! well, nothing that i can easily turn into something satisfying. need to go buy bread... and milk... and juice. man... this means i have to get out of the house. wasn't planning on doing that except to go help huda wrap her berkat, but this got cancelled. i really have no reason to step out now.

hmm perhaps i could pay the gym a visit. do i really wanna do that though? just haven't been in the mood for the gym this past month. a whole month! i have never not gone to the gym this long before. whatever it was i always managed at least one session. this is bad. slowly sinking back into my bad habits... argh. help me, help me please. my favourite quote of late is: "motivation is what gets you started. habit is what keeps you going." brilliant. where is my motivation?

so, here i am, online at 12pm on a saturday with no plans. great. think i'll go read a book or clean my constantly messy room.

p.s. made my mind up for now- will be going for the masters in counselling. i figure this will benefit me a lot. you know, teach me to be more concerned about others, sharpen my listening skills, etc, etc. the design stuff i'll do on the side, cos from what i've seen, design courses want you to be super creative and really out there. out there apparel ain't gonna bring in the dough lor. well, not for a small family business anyway. still trying to convince my parents to change the shop name. bah.

sarawak part deux

hmm on the last night of the sarawak trip i was too damned tired to write some travel notes, even though the notebook and pen were right there beside me. haha. ran out of clothes by then too cos i wore my baju tidur to the wet market that morning and got the pant hems all wet and stinking like fish. market was abt 40 min away from the kampung we were staying at. bought ikan terubok and some kuih there. the fruits looked awesome. everything was so fresh and alive. really cool. only 4 of us adults plus 2 people from the kampung. the guy drove like a madman. haha.

when we came back, we went straight to the school to look see look see, then to a wedding. quite different from sg weddings, was between 9 to 12. when our bus drove by at 12.30, everything was cleared already sia! haha. kampung people are very hospitable and very nice. kampung was right by the river, with an awesome view of gunung san tubung.

what else did we do that day... oh ya, went to a museum, then pottery factory, then shopping... that's it i think. one of the students had a high fever so that was a bit of a drama, had to take her to the clinic and all.

ok think that's it. malasnye wanna update sommore. not tt anyone cares. haha. pics soon i guess.

sarawak part une

okies, travel notes about my sarawak trip. overdue, i know, but that's just me. slacker. haha. i still haven't finished unpacking my carry on bag...

while i was at work...

080606 8.50am thurs

thank god thank god thank god this is my last day of work for this week. no wonder office workers look forward to the weekend so much. now i understand. saya tak suka laaaah. extremely tempted to break my bond. i dunno what it is but i seem to have lost my sense of responsibility and commitment. i couldn't care less who gets affected if i do run off. it's not like i'm planning on bumming around, you know. of cos i'm gonna look for another job. question is, when should i start?

just found out from s. that he will bercuti panjang the whole of july. macam siak, skarang baru bilang! this means that whatever dia sedang buat skarang, aku lah yang kena buat. hmm. i don't mind ah actually. yay yay takde s., i can do my own work. i hate being supervised lah. seriously.

another thing, i think i need to do some soul searching. seem to have lost my sense of direction (no, not the literal one. that one i never had in the 1st place so how to lose? haha). hmm... time to do some meditation and quiet thinking.

9.09am

hmm s. belum sampai. kalau nari dia tak datang, relek jugak. haha. since skarang dia takde, boleh lah action sikit.

i have been playing with the idea of shaving my head for charity. i waaaant. a few people have told me that it wouldn't be professional to come to work with a shaved head. if you think about it, it's only bald for what, a week or so? after that grow back ready... therefore, i CAN do this. worse come to worse wear a scarf or tudung to work lor. or hats. i have hats! haha.

yesterday on the way home in the train, i saw this girl with lots of moles. when i say moles, i mean the huge ones with hair growing out of them. yes, eew. she had them everywhere. could tell that there had been attempts to remove some. by what means, i don't know. was extremely facsinated, and it made me feel really grateful that my moles are small and cute. haha. really ah, kesian.

i *love* my job

ok bes, supervisor (s.) just went for a meeting so free sikit nak buat kerja. haha. i am so damn good at this act busy thing. anyways, i think i'm not cut out for working a 9 to 5 ah. or in my case, 8.30am - 5.20pm. i still feel lost in this department... mebbe cos i have no clue what this loans business is all about, and i'm expected to coordinate input and turn them into meaningful reports... like, wtf sia? thinking of asking my s. if i can kepo kepo and get attached to individuals from different sections on a monthly basis as well as do my own work so that i can get a feel of what's going on in general...

i hate not having a clue. at the same time, i don't really wanna ask people who don't seem willing to help and seem too busy even if they do wanna help. mebbe i should just be more thick skinned. will probably talk to the young manager and give her some suggestions on orientation of new staff. wahaha. takde kerja cari kerja. need to talk to her about some internal scheme to convert current staff in other depts to my dept or something. sambil menyelam, minum air!

one big big question that i have been grappling with is- should i stay or should i go? cos it'll obviously cost me if i break my bond kan. if i leave at the end of one year, this july... have to pay back about $3k+. wahlau eh. relek sua. then again, the only thing that's keeping me here is the pay and my own stubborness. never say die!! haha. if i could last 6 mths in a sales position headed by a honkie and a yankee, surely i can stay here for the whole of my 2 year sentence right? right.

hmm ok just got back from lunch. s. is not back yet so yay i have some time to myself... haha. pretty lucky that s. is quite relek and doesn't gimme deadlines. at the same time, there is no sense of urgency either. hmm. dunno what kinda environment i prefer. i think relek. but the work you do has to be significant lah. i'm starting to feel a bit more optimistic about this whole thing for some reason. it's out of my comfort zone but hey i guess that's how you grow. grow into what i dunno ah.

my masters plans... i'm a bit doubtful now if this is the right path for me. god knows (and you guys know) how unempathetic and insensitive i am. haha. one of my friends says that this is a good thing though, cos you can't get too emotional and attached in that kinda job. and i have the necessary analytical skills. true true. should i go back to my first love and sign up with nafa or lasalle instead? hmm... decisions decisions.

happiness

yesterday i watched x- men with rohana and gang. for details please refer to rohana's blog post. wahaha. i absolutely adored the movie!! sat next to muna and we were squealing and getting excited whenever the hunks came on screen. for me it was wolverine and angel, for her it was cyclops and angel. i will not add in a movie spoiler so i will just say that angle and cyclops had pretty minimal roles. wahaha. i looooove the wings!!! i wanna be a mutant too!! jean grey was damn scary as pheonix sia. i will resist the urge to add in another movie spoiler. hmm... then wat the hell is the point of writing a mini movie review?? sighs. whatever it is i loved it ah. i want storm's bod and jean's hair. can? haha.

after the movie, rohana, muna and i went for coffee and cake at mccafe. well rohana didn't have anything lah, the 2 of us did. realised that muna and i have a lot in common much to rohana's exasperation. wahaha. so she just played sudoku while we entertained ourselves. might be going to sibu in a couple of weeks. yay! got something to do on my long weekend(s)!

er, the 1st long weekend i have to study for exams. 2nd long weekend i should also lah but hey, sun sand and sea are beckoning. who am i to refuse the invite? haha. one thing that won't be on the agenda for me for sure is underwater activities. hydrophobic lah. the most i'll do is play on the shore. perhaps i might try above water activities, but only with a lifejacket...

hmm i haven't packed my stuff yet for tomoro. malas ah. have to be in friggin' woodlands at 6 in the friggin' am. jokers. haven't recharged my camera batts or cleared the memory card either so i guess i will go do that... eventually.
