so, i shall whine about work today. had a hectic morning cos i had to settle quite a few things before leaving for meetings in the afternoon at 1.30pm. while i was busy running around, a colleague who shall be known as porky comes up and is like, hey, the leaflets in the trays outside for product x are all gone, need to be topped up. i'm like, yeah ok, in the meantime please print from g drive, they're all there. then she's like, customer walk in also must print from g drive meh? in all sarcasm. well excuuuuuse me u fat biatch, have u ever heard of the phrase 'using initiative'? if u see it's all gone, top up a little when u go make copies for yourself lah! so hard to do meh?? help a sista out here! knnbccb. it's not like i'm hiding the info in some dark secluded corner that only i have access to! basket.

then i went off for my meetings. signed up the first of many renovators. woohoo! it's about bloody time sia, been waiting to do this for the past 3 months but kept getting red taped. i'm hoping things will change for the better with our new ceo. apparently he sent an email asking the management to ask themselves, are u the bottleneck? also said something like, don't tell me the problem, tell me the solution. don't go looking for more problems unless u can solve them too. i liiiiiiiiike. he's also changed the approach to marketing and advertising (it's about bloody time!!) so everything looks nice and corporate and uniform. well, we're getting there anyway. yay!

i digress. as i was saying, went visiting renovators. took cab from office to ubi. then from ubi back to office to pick up my colleagues and onwards to jurong east. total bill? 30 friggin' bucks sia!! heart pain ok!! my monthly limit for claims is 30 bucks. i already spent abt another 20 earlier on for other cab rides to meetings. i don't get allowance for this shit lor. i'm not even claiming my rides on buses and trains ok!! cheebye. they're not paying me enough to do this. can also bet anything that the boss ain't gonna let us claim more than the amount determined. we're gonna write in and ask for it of cos, but our efforts would probably be wasted. either raise the limit or we're gonna spend more time out of the office to allow for travelling on public transport. take your pick, honey.

heart pain again when i was pretty much bullied into giving my mobile no. to the salespeople at the renovators. people are gonna be bugging me at every hour. they're not paying me enough to do this. u guessed it, i don't get allowance for this shit either. don't get me wrong, i love being out of office and on the road. all i'm asking is that they make it worth my while.

from thurs all the way to next fri (inc. sats), i will be stationed at 3 polys for roadshows. for the first days, gonna be there all day, then 2pm-6pm thereafter. my colleague was like, yay, cheap food for the next two wks! i was like, yeah, and expensive transport. this was greeting by a depressed silence in the cab. bloody hell, gonna drive from home for the first days man. can't be fucked forking out for cabs anymore. did i mention we'll be lugging around heavy, obsolete laptops and stacks of docs at the end of each day of the roadshow(s), so we can pass them over to the officers in charge the next morning in office?

oh ya, hakka was humping my bro's arm last night. he let him do it. wtf?? sick. time to sterilise him i guess. horny bastard. haha.

got home pretty early today cos last meeting was in geylang. went for a much needed run. gawd it felt soo good. should go do it more often...

because i can't seem to sleep

i will share something that i have been pondering over since i read it a few weeks back. my friend s. (dude, lifting this right from your blog. haha) has a standard answer whenever his mum asks him the big 'when are you getting married' question. he always says 'i haven't found the right girl yet'. until one day, his mum got sick of this answer and said:

'maybe it's time you learnt something, boy. you don't find the right person... they discover each other.'

indeed. it's pretty profound if u think about it. i've been thinking about it for the longest time and the more i do that, the more it makes sense, tho i still can't really explain how. hmm. mothers know best.

so yesterday, kavi, sang, sarah and i went to an art gallery in chinatown. it was an asian pop art exhibit by an indian artist and i must say, it was wickedly cool. felt totally inspired after checking out her work. so colourful and vibrant! i like... most of the works were going for about $11k. madness right?

this outing made me realise that i could never go minimalist and zen. i kinda love having a whole bunch of stuff to display and explore. which would explain why my room is in a perpetual mess. then again, i also hate having to keep cleaning so many things that are left exposed to the elements. note to self: need to find a happy medium. just realised that i didn't put up a pic of my room after i finished painting it. so here goes:
only one wall is striped btw, the rest are plain (should've had flowers lah but oh well. i couldn't be buggered by the end of the striping. no, not that kinda striping. tho i could accomodate whoever is interested. wahaha). see lah, how to go zen like this?

anyway we headed to little india after that for some makan and shopping at mustafa. they have giant tubs of vaseline for like 6 bucks!! how exciting! i am so totally going there to stock up on stuff for my EU07 trip sia! little did i know that the next time i'd visit mustafa was that very night. haha. i think whoever designed the building should be shot lah. so confusing! exits and entrances all over the place sia! in the event of a fire.... i would not want to be there.

this week has also been very good, fitness wise. gymmed, jogged, swam, kayaked (at bedok res!). unfortunately i have 2 months worth of slacking and overindulgence to undo. it's a vicious cycle people! jangan marah lah. everyone has weaknesses... haha. battle on! got jp morgan run in 8 wks. argh!

oh ya, am super pissed off with one of the residents here. remember how my estate is supposed to be enbloc-ed? well, the asshole lost in court a few weeks back and guess what? he's taking it to high court this time round lor!! first time in history ah, taking to high court over an enbloc issue. mother. fucker. waste my time only sia! holding back the $$ for like, 560 other households ok!! cheebye. bloody calculative piece of crap. so greedy for fuck sia? don't gimme any of that, oh lived here so long, such great views, cannot get places like this anymore. spare me the fucking bullshit, it's all about the money. damned pissed off ok!! most of the residents already moved out, paid up their final conservancy fees, getting the lawyers down to finalise next week... i swear there will be hell to pay if the developers pull out cos of the delay. oh crap. what if they pull out?? noooooooooo. can they do that?? haiyah. dunno ah. whatever it is i hope a mob goes over to their place and teaches them a lesson man. fuckers. bloody selfish. gggggrrrrrrrrr.
