today was my last day of work in my department. i use the term 'work' loosely. the first thing i did in the morn was send an email to the slacker of a HR person, asking him to hurry up and send me a confirmation email about my transfer. the week before, all the bosses involved, the HR person and i already agreed verbally that it was going to happen. is it that hard to write a frigging email to make it official?? jeeeeeez. as you can imagine, i was all hyper and anxious the whole week, waiting for it to drop. why? cos it ain't over till the HR person sends me the goddamn email.
he did. at 11.45am. which is good, cos i told myself that if it wasn't done by noon i would call him up and bug his ass off. the manager at my new department was nice enough to send me a welcome email cos she isn't gonna be around tomoro morn when i show up. so sweet right? haha. i feel welcome already!
so yeah, all i did at work today was go for a 2 hour lunch with a few colleagues, pack up my things, go around talking to people and take some photos. haha. good stuff. then sometime in the afternoon my team leader called my hp and asked me to go upstairs (we have a 1st floor and 2nd floor). see, now usually i'm rotting away at my cubicle on the 2nd floor, but today i got ousted from my seat cos someone needed the space for telemarketing. i went downstairs to use one of the tablets lah, and to kacau the people there. when i went upstairs, surprise surprise, there was like a farewell so called 'tea'. except that there wasn't any tea, but there were loads of otah-otah, epok-epok, nuggets and the like.
my team leader kinda made a short speech, then i had to make one. after which my lady boss made me do something stupid. i had to pick up a nugget with my teeth and dip it in the sauce. now we all know that when your face is that close to sauce and she's pinning your arms down, only one thing can happen. thank god it didn't, cos i had the sense to pin her arms down instead. wahaha. uh and because of my own big mouth, i had to pass the nugget to her. doh. cos when they suggested i had to dip it in sauce, i was like, dip then wat? pass to someone ah? yes i know. stupidity. it was fun though. haha.
oh oh i got a card and presents too! i love cards! the presents were a ceramic box with my birth month stone(peridot) on it and a charm bracelet. i've always wanted a charm bracelet! hehe. so exciting.
after having spent the first 7 months of my working life in that department, i do feel sad about leaving. even though i've been looking forward to it for a long time. i'm just hoping that there will be nice people in the new dept and that i'll be able to handle whatever they throw at me. cos i'm planning on being an examplary executive. first 3 months must be a bit power, then can slack. haha.
just ironed my outfit for tomoro's '1st day at work'. i'm wearing the pants i promised not to wear again cos it's got bits of elastic sticking out. i'm wearing them cos i need to wear black pants (ahem) and i can't fit (yet!) into the other dark coloured pants that i have. wahaha. sighs. bloody slacker. should get my expanding waist to the gym pronto. lucky working nearby now. phew. oh i'm also wearing the shirt i bought for regular price at the robinson's sale. go figure. it's quite gigolo if you ask me. a bit shiny and uh... hmmm. well i like it. so there.
i can't believe i'm reporting at 8.30am tomoro. 8.30AM!! urgh. who the hell goes to work that early. i'm used to waking up at that time dammit. wahaha. ok guess i should go tido and set my alarm and all that. goodnight and good luck.
