ok i am guilty of flouting my own rule lately. this rule is called 'always be prepared' and refers to the way you look. i have been leaving the house without *gasp* eyeliner and i don't even bother reapplying my lip gloss during the course of the day. i don't even style my hair. yes, it is bad, ladies. what's worse is my dressing. tees! jeans! gym bags! no earrings! no contacts!! what the hell happened to my good sense?? i'm fugly!
well everything went flying out the window, obviously, with my immersion back into the education system. i couldn't be arsed to dress properly to go to a place where the majority of the population are immature babies. no fish to catch mah, so dress up for what. but wait, that's not all.
i should worry right, seeing how i get on the train and bus for about 3 hours a day. i should meet loads of people right? right. but from my observations over the past couple of months, there is hardly anyone worth looking at lah. unfortunately i have also fallen into that category. *sighs*
i blame the fact that i go to the gym (there it is again) and doing so makes wearing make up a waste of time and effort as well as being highly impractical. oh god. i just said make up is a waste of time. i need to go wash my mouth out with soap now. also, make up just does not go with sporty/ sloppy wear.
i solemnly swear to clean up my act. no matter how leceh it is. because it's worth it. because i can't bear to cringe anymore when i see my reflection in the mrt windows. because if i don't enforce my own rule, then who will? there is no excuse to look like crap when all you need to do is put in a little effort. hear that? effort.
i can't wait for work to start so that i can dress up. really. in the meantime i shall get my contacts out of early retirement, sharpen my eye pencil, unclump my mascara, dig my glosses out, dust off my 'nice' clothes and polish up my earrings. i will also ditch the cargos and running shoes. maybe.
looking good does not happen with a magic wand.

Hello... as u may noe, I'm not an advocate for make-up. I say, wat's wrong with appearing natural? Make-up is like a mask mah... so why are u hiding?
Wear the contacts, nice clothes, etc lah... but make-up? Just the basics at most lah.
haha see u got the whole concept of make up wrong. it's not a mask, it's a way of emphasizing yr assets and hiding yr flaws, all to make yrself feel better. so what's wrong with that? everyone likes to feel good right?
nothing wrong with appearing natural but there is a time and place for that... and i'm not talking about full on wayang make up. u can look natural and well put together with a little skill and effort. won't look fake.
I don't even know how to wear eyeshadow. If you need me, I shall be at the L'oreal make up stand.
And yeah, i agree with Adigal. What's wrong with being au natural? Oh yeah, i forgot. You get picked up by guys like Gary.
PS: Yasmine, if you are reading this, I am calling for a boycott on your blog if you continue talking about food.
Hahaha!! Yeah, if u dun wear make-up u wun get picked up by mats. Oh wait, maybe that's not a bad thing.
Well, at least Gary has a job, yeah shazzynay? Haha...
And I dunno how to use eyeliner too. Oh well.
i agree, agree and agree. no make up. malasss. most girls i know go natural.
if its REALLY important i'll throw on mascara and blusher/bronzer. a bit. and by REALLY important i mean if there's someone "interesting". heh.
but i understand what you're saying about hiding the flaws and emphasizing the assets part. just don't sound suicidal if you've got nothing on ok. hehe.
*sighs* people people i didn't say there was anything wrong with make up, i said there's a time and a place for it. like at the beach, when u're exercising, when u baru bangun tido and going down to the mama shop, etc. but other times, put SOMETHING on. even if its just powder and gloss. powder and gloss can make a world of difference... 'its the little details that make up the pleasing whole'
who ARE u people??
and i am not a make up addict.
